Cheap Car Hire

  • Use comparison sites – they are the way forward and there’s no excuse to not trying them.
  • Beware of extra charges, many companies will add on insurances charges at the desk, sometimes they are mandatory other time they are additional and surplus to your needs, always read the T+Cs
  • When hire you are generally offered a car or similar based on a group category, small, medium, large, 4×4, bus etc. Choose the category that best suits you but then one at the desk be more specific.

*One tip that I have used before and has always got me a better vehicle in the same class is to request a vehicle with ISOfix for a child car seat. You can only do this once picking up and depending on the country it might not be available but I’ve done it in South Africa on multiple occasions, also in America and Canada and each time we’ve been pleased with the outcome.
